Resolve

  • Resolve -> HP: This is a special resource that is depleted by damage first instead of your HP, with the remainder of damage overflowing into your HP.

  • Temporary: Resolve lasts until expended, 10 minutes have passed, or combat is completed (whichever happens last).

  • Sources: Resolve is awarded by the Ignite Inspiration and Infuse Armor skills, amongst other skills, but never exceeds 5 points.

  • Never Stacks: Instances of all kinds Resolve overlap and NEVER stack. If you currently have 1 or more points of Resolve, you only take the higher of the two values whenever you are granted more Resolve. This means you stick to your current amount or take the newly granted Resolve.

Greater Resolve

  • Lasts Longer: This is similar to its lesser version excerpt it lasts until the end of the current Period. Both types of Resolve are limited to a maximum of 5, unless specifically allowed.

  • Food, Magic, or Performance: Greater Resolve is granted by certain Skills and Spells that are meant to be used out of combat and during downtime. Thus, individuals with these Skills are prized for their ability to bolster allies’ endurance. This is one way to be far tougher than normal before getting into a fight.

  • Harder to Improve: Effects that improve the amount of Resolve granted or receive do not affect the Greater Resolve unless the effect specifies accordingly.

  • Never Stacks: If you receive Resolve while you have any Greater Resolve, you may choose to receive the new value or keep your current. The same follows for if you receive Greater Resolve while you still have Resolve. In all cases, you never add them together.
